USD Chemistry Club

Purpose

As you may guess, ChemClub is primarily a group of undergraduate science majors. Our goal is to make chemistry more exciting and intiguing for a wide variety of students. We sponsor multiple activities off- and on-campus, such as an elementary outreach program and a Christmas/Welcome Back party with the chemistry department faculty.

In 2007, ChemClub added in a series on chemistry research available for undergraduate students at USD. Approximately every two to three weeks, a USD chemistry professor was invited to speak about his or her current research activities as well as potential projects that he or she would like to do.

This website serves as an additional link to other students: those who cannot attend the meetings, those who need to reference a date and time, students who need to find which computers have organic chemistry programs, etc. Compiled on this website are links to professional resources and computer programs, a list of available tutors for general chemistry and organic chemistry, meeting minutes, and times and places for upcoming meetings. Other information will be added as it is received.
