Check out USD's new virtual tour! Start out in front of Old Main and navigate your way around the University's beautiful campus. In our tour, it is late October. Students are walking between classes and the flowers are still in bloom. We welcome you whether you are a new student wanting to preview the campus or an alumnus revisiting your alma mater. There are two versions of the tour: high resolution | low resolution Because of the size of the images, the pictures will take some time to load. We recommend the high resolution tour only for those on the USD campus or those with an Internet2 connection. Please be patient. The tour is worth the wait.

The University of South Dakota, the state's flagship university, is a growing, thriving university committed to excellence in education, research and service. Founded in 1862 by the Dakota Territorial Legislature, USD is the state's oldest university. President James W. Abbott is the first alumnus of the 137-year old campus to serve as President.
