First Year Experience
First Year Experience (FYE) is a USD signature program designed to help you succeed academically and socially during your first year. FYE offers exciting seminars, a network for personal support, connections to faculty, priority access to in-demand classes and special living and network experiences, FYE helps you feel at home at USD.
A Support Network:
- You'll join a Network of 20 other students with similar interests. From day one, you'll have a personal support network.
As a Member of FYE, You Will:
- Seminars - participate in small seminars with meaningful involvement and leadership opportunities
- Block Schedules - go to common first year classes with others in your network (we save spaces for you in these popular classes)
- New Student Orientation - attend fun and informational activities planned just for our new students
- FYE Housing - live with others in your Network in Mickelson and Beede Halls.
