How We Can Help

Professors, Instructors and Teaching Assistants

We can come to your classroom to do a brief presentation (5-10 minutes) about the Writing Center.

CAAP Proficiency Exam

We provide one-to-one assistance if you are preparing to take or, especially, to retake the writing section of the CAAP (Proficiency Exam).

Start Early:
  • Begin preparing at the beginning of the semester when the exam will be taken.
  • Schedule two to three 60-minute appointments so that you can take practice versions of the writing portion of the CAAP exam.
  • Make an Appointment (login required) or contact our office. Specifically request Practice Proficiency Exam.

View more information about the CAAP Exam (login required).

ELL/ESL Conversation

Would you like to practice speaking English with others at the university who understand your needs as an English Language Learner? Our consultants and volunteers will meet with you one-on-one in a comfortable, supportive environment.

Workshops

Our workshop schedule has ended for the year, but you can access recordings of Spring 2014 Workshops.  We recommend you view Hardware and Software Prerequisites before accessing recordings.
