Our Mission

The University Honors Program provides especially motivated, creative, and thoughtful students an enriched academic experience, grounded in the liberal arts, which promotes lifelong learning, responsible citizenship, vocational effectiveness, and cultural appreciation, and enhances the University's intellectual environment and sense of community.

When not researching Irish Intellectual History, Scott is responsible for the Honors Program curriculum, general administrative oversight, and advising students.

Susan coordinates academic advising, manages recruiting and marketing, and assists in the overall administration of the Honors Program.  On behalf of entire campus, she serves as Coordinator of Competitive Scholarship competitions for currently enrolled students.

Leslie academically advises Honors students, assists with student recruitment, coordinates alumni outreach efforts, plans programming for Honors students and advises the Honors Association student organization.

Sarah advises and teaches in the Honors Program. She also directs the Center for Academic Engagement, home to service-learning, AWOL (Alternative Week of Off-Campus Learning), nationally competitive scholarships, study abroad, National Student Exchange, and undergraduate research and creative scholarship.

B.F.A Music Education, University of South Dakota; Glenda was a member of the first class of Honors students at USD 

Glenda manages record keeping systems for all students and courses in the Honors Program, handles the program's financial accounts, and assists the Director, Associate Director and Program Coordinator with recruiting, admissions, and course scheduling.
