TRIO programs are educational outreach and enrichment programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The programs are targeted to serve low-income, first-generation college students and students with disabilities to advance their education beyond high school level. Participants are selected according to their potential for academic success. TRIO programs are Federally funded by the Department of Education.
