USD 101 is a one credit course intended to assist first-year students in their transition to life at USD. It's our goal to connect new students more quickly and easily to faculty, staff, students and resources at the University of South Dakota. In addition, we want to help new students earn higher grades in their first semester and feel more at home in Vermillion. Studies have shown that students who feel connected to their university are more likely to be academically successful.

USD 101 meets twice per week during the first half of the fall semester in an interactive classroom.
