HONORS
The Honors Program provides talented students with a solid academic background, then sets their minds free in special seminars and individual projects. The result is the best kind of education that a university has to offer: challenging, interdisciplinary, and liberating.


IdEA (Interdisciplinary Education and Action Program)
The IdEA Program allows you to take your expertise as an economist, a biologist, or teacher and see how your ideas and approaches work when joined with those brought by students and faculty from entirely different disciplines. The world is interdisciplinary. Employers, graduate and professional schools are seeking students with the skills you learn from being interdisciplinary.  The IdEA Program helps you develop those skills.


UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH AND CREATIVE ACTIVITY
Student-oriented research enhances learning!  Undergraduate research isn't just for science majors, either.  You can research with any department on campus and almost any topic imaginable.  Students at The U are researching everything from flesh-eating bacteria to Gamelan (Javanese Indonesian Percussion Orchestra) to the efficiency of fluorescent highway signs.
