Windows 7 Starter Operating System [Announcements]

Description:
It has just been brought to our attention that the Cisco NAC client is not compatible with the Windows 7 Starter operating system and is not supported by Cisco. Unfortunately, due to these compatibility issues, ITS will be unable to allow or support any Windows 7 Starter computers on the USD network. This does not affect Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate editions. Computers with these operating systems will be supported after the holiday break. Windows 7 Starter is the operating system being installed on many Netbooks available for sale. If you are looking to purchase a new computer or a Netbook, please be sure your computer meets our requirements as posted online at http://www.usd.edu/technology/student-computer-requirements.cfm. If you already have a computer with Windows 7 starter please contact your computer vendor for available upgrade options.
