DTP Hosts Annual Golf Tournament
and Bar Exam
The Delta Theta Phi Harlan-McKusick Senate hosted a St.
Patrick’s Day “Bar Exam” in Vermillion in March, which raised
$2,000 for the United Way of Vermillion. The group also donated
$2,000 to the Sanford Children’s Hospital, raised through DTP’s
annual golf tournament.
Public Interest Network Auction
Raises $4,000
The Public Interest Network (PIN) held its annual silent
auction in April at the Eagles Club in Vermillion. The PIN auction
celebrates the public interest community and raises money to fund
student public interest grants. PIN grants will be distributed to
students who intend to participate in pro bono services for a public
interest organization this summer. Around $4,000 was raised.
R.D. Hurd Pro Bono Group
Conducts Family Law Clinics
Members of the R.D. Hurd Pro Bono Group conducted five
clinics throughout the school year at East River Legal Services
in Sioux Falls. Dozens of members of the community received
help with family law issues from law students and attorneys at
the clinics.

A Closing Note of Invitation
June 20 Joint Reception In Pierre
Those planning to attend the activities during the annual
meeting of the State Bar of South Dakota are invited to a reception
honoring Dean Geu and former dean Barry Vickrey. The USD
Foundation, South Dakota State Bar Foundation and South
Dakota Community Foundation invite you to a casual reception.
This jointly sponsored event will is scheduled from 4–6:30 p.m.
on Thursday, June 20 in the Plains Room of RedRossa Italian
