Chad Vogel
Charles (Chad) Vogel is the Director of Development for the College of Arts & Sciences. He works directly with alumni and friends to secure major gifts that transform the lives of students across the College's 16 academic departments. He also assists with broader fundraising efforts, such as annual and planned giving.
Chad received his B.A. in 1996 and his M.A. in 2008 from Dakota Wesleyan University. He also has a graduate certificate in non-profit leadership and administration from Western Michigan University. Inspired by call to be a responsible citizen, he entered the AmeriCorps program immediately after graduating from college.
Chad's wide-ranging interests include educational administration, athletics and humanitarian causes. He has spent many years in South Dakota working in development for non-profit organizations, such as 1st Circuit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), the Rapid City Boys Club Foundation and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Foundation.
Originally from Cherokee, Iowa, Chad was a student-athlete at Dakota Wesleyan University, and served as director of athletics/athletic development there before joining USD.
