Bio:
Etienne Z. Gnimpieba received a Master of Science on computational engineering, in Informatics and Mathematics for Integrative Biology, at University of Evry Val D’Essonne (France), in 2007; a PhD in biotechnology and bioinformatics at University of technology of Compiegne (France), in 2011. After 2 years postdoctoral researcher experience at USD, he is an Assistant professor in computer science and Bioinformatics. He works on systems and data integration in life science research. He has published article in Molecular Biosystems journal (RSC Publishing), Faseb journal, and several meeting proceeding related to computer used in life science.
Teaching Interests:
Bioionformatics, Systems Biology, Data mining, Knowledge discovery, Artificial Intelligence.
Research Interests:
I’m interested in systems and data integration for life science research using modeling approaches (e.g. Ordinary Differential Equations), semantic web (e.g. ontology), and web services (e.g. RESTful API). My work focuses on three main themes: systems biology and virtual biology; bioinformatics knowledge and data management; and bioinformatics education or bioinformatics knowledge transmission.
