"Every activity is a chance to meet new friends, business contacts, or even future employers."

Major: Computer Science
I chose USD because it offers a great education for a fraction of the cost of most schools. Inspired by a high school computer networking instructor, led me to computer science as my major.
My most inspiring class was software engineering because it prepares you for the team work and organizational skills used in real world software development.
My favorite part about USD is the ability to easily build relationships with professors and students in your major. It is a large university yet you can still walk across campus and see many familiar faces.
In addition to my studies, I was involved in Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), programming contests, cyber defense team and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. My involvement helped me meet new friends, business contacts and future employers.
As alumni of USD, my best advice to you is to get involved in the numerous groups and activities on campus, both inside your major and out. I'm currently an application developer for Techflow in San Diego, California.
