My initial attraction to USD was football, but shortly after being on campus I saw the vast amount of opportunities that I could participate in. On the recommendation of a friend, I tried out for Coyote News which made me decide to make contemporary media & journalism my focus.
Basic News Writing class has inspired me greatly on the course of pursuing my major. It got me directly involved with elements of journalism that I could experience in the future.
USD is somewhat of a smaller school than most, but there is so much you can get involved with here on campus. There is an endless amount of what you can do in order to make yourself a part of the community and people here are generally friendly and great to get to know.
In addition to my studies, I am involved with Coyote News, Campus Activities Board and the Union of African American Students.
My post-graduation plan is to move to Los Angeles and pursue a career in either public relations and advertising, news anchoring, or acting.
