Classics courses are offered for graduate credit through the History Department and may be used for supporting course credit or as electives. Classic course work available to graduate students includes Classical Humanities, Greek and Latin.
Each summer we offer an interdisciplinary sailing and study tour in Greece for undergraduate and graduate students.
We have integrated a multi-day research trip to the State Archives of the South Dakota State Historical Society into the required first-year Research Methods course. Graduate students travel to Pierre to learn how an archive works, meet archivists, and use the State Historical Society’s holdings to begin conducting their own original research.
