Interdisciplinary Studies
A Broad Background
A liberal arts education provides students with a broad background that will serve them well throughout their lives. Interdisciplinary programs, in particular, strive to combine knowledge from many academic departments into a unified whole.
Each program consists of core courses and a broad range of electives spread across numerous departments.
Programs
- Classics includes Latin and Greek, along with the history and culture of ancient life. Classics combines courses in anthropology, art history, English, history, modern languages, philosophy, and theatre.
- Leadership Studies focuses on public leadership skills with courses in business administration, political science, psychology, and sociology.
- Religious Studies Minor requires a minimum of 18 semester hours of RELI courses such as Old Testament, New Testament; World Religions; Death, Grief, and Growth. Certain courses, such as the following, may also be used as part of the Religious Studies Minor:

- Women's Studies offers courses in anthropology, biology, criminal justice, English, history, modern languages, philosophy, psychology, and speech.
