Modern Languages Internships

Internships are a great way for you to use your language skills in a professional environment both locally and around the world.

Our majors have interned at the prestigious Smithsonian Institution’s Recovering Voices program, which strives to document, study and revitalize endangered indigenous languages. They have completed college credits through internships overseas in Spain and Costa Rica. Here at USD, students have interpreted and translated for Guatemalan clients seeking asylum and refugee status through a partnership with the School of Law’s Immigration Clinic. Internships benefit students and clients, providing both professional experience and much-needed services.
