E. Conditions for Support
Students receiving money from the Farber Fund and participating in project sponsored by the Department of Political Science should take note that:
  1. Students are expected to represent USD in a professional, mature, and positive light while on trips sponsored by USD and supported by the Farber Fund;
  2. Students remain primarily and individually responsible for all of their decisions, actions and behavior;
  3. A mutual respect and concern for other members of the group, their care, and their well-being is necessary for the success of any group experience;
  4. The use of alcohol must confirm to USD regulations, state laws,and good sense; students attending events on Farber Funding are the public face of the Department of Political Science and are expected to resist any decision or actions of others which exceed these bounds;
  5. No illegal drugs of illegal activities of any kind are to be tolerated;
    6. and
  6. Students are asked to recognize the responsibility created when taxpayers' money, donors' contributions, state vehicles, and the time of state employees are devoted to the support of any trip. The use of public or donated funds creates a higher duty of trust to use those funds in the best fashion so as to maximize educational benefits.
In requesting funds, I agree to:
  1. Comply with all the guidelines and requirements as stated;
    2. and
  2. Submit to the Department Chairman a 2-page evaluation of the Farber Fund subsidized opportunity no later than 2 weeks after completion of that opportunity.
