Innovative Research
The Government Research Bureau (GRB) at The U has a distinguished history of conducting applied research on public policy and administrative issues affecting the State of South Dakota, local governments, and American Indian Reservations. The GRB was was established in 1939 by the Board of Regents upon the recommendation of the President of the University and the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
To achieve its mission, the Bureau employs the most modern and innovative analysis tools. The Bureau's technical expertise is used to assist state and local government officials in the areas of economic development and policy formation.
