Dr. Braunstein is a professor with a joint appointment in the Department of Political Science and the W.O. Farber Center for Civic Leadership at The University of South Dakota. He received a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1999, where he also founded a successful non profit organization dedicated to providing citizens with access to a wide range of public voter information. He is a Research Associate in the Government Research Bureau.
