Agency Description
Jackson Recovery Centers is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention, education, and treatment of alcohol, drug, and gambling addictions. Their services also address eating disorders, co-dependency and mental health problems associated with addictive behaviors. Rooted in the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, Jackson offers a full-continuum of services for persons experiencing problems in their life due to their own, or someone else's, addiction.

Position Information
- Contract training site (contracted with USD)
- Stipend: $9,600 per 12 months
- Hours per week: 16 hours per week/4 weeks per month
- Number of placement positions: 1
- Estimated distance from Vermillion: 45 miles
- Prior training & experience required of trainees: assessment courses
- Prior training and experience preferred of trainees: master's degree completed, experience with completing psychological evaluations and working in a residential setting
- Strengths of this practicum experience: lots of experience in assessments; independence; staff are eager for input and appreciative of students' work; team affiliation with members from other disciplines
