Agency Description
Sioux Falls VA Medical Center (VAMC) is a teaching hospital providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology as well as education and research. Care is provided to eligible veterans in eastern South Dakota, northwestern Iowa, and southwestern Minnesota. Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care, tertiary care, and long-term care in the areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics and transitional care. The Sioux Falls VA is part of VA Network 23, which includes facilities in Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.

Position Information
- DMHI Morgan Fellowship
- Stipend: no funding from VAMC
- Hours per week: 8 hours VAMC; 8 hours DMHI
- Number of placement positions:
- Estimated distance from Vermillion: 64 miles
- Prior training & experience required of trainees:
- Prior training and experience preferred of trainees: assessment training in neuropsychology
- Strengths of this practicum experience: opportunity to receive supervised experience in a wide variety of settings—group, individual, inpatient psychiatry, inpatient medical, outpatient
- Additional comments: majority of clients will be male; no opportunity for child or adolescent experience
