Faculty members currently involved with the design, development and delivery of this certificate program are:

/business/Executive_Education/images/Dr-Ram.jpg Dr. Kumoli Ramakrishnan (Dr. Ram), program director, (Ph.D. University of Texas at Dallas) is the Executive Education Dean at the School of Business at USD.  He has extensive first hand experience in India and studies recent developments in businesses and economics in India and China. He specializes in corporate and international finance, and has worked in the private sector as Exports Officer for DCM group, and in the public sector as Corporate Credit Officer for State Bank of Mysore, in India, prior to coming to the U.S.  His consulting experience spans project evaluation, corporate and bank management, training programs and strategic marketing relationships in India, the Philippines and the US.
/business/Executive_Education/images/Lavin,-Angeline.jpg Dr. Angeline Lavin (Ph.D  University of Nebraska) is an Associate Professor of Finance in the USD School of Business. She specializes in business finance, investments and security analysis, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. She has published several articles on a variety of topics in several reputable finance journals and enjoys maintaining contact with the business world through consulting activities and managing her husband’s dental practice. Angeline’s dynamic, organized presentation style helped her to earn the University of South Dakota’s award for Excellence in Teaching in 2000.
/business/images/rhonda/Buttars_Tom_115.jpg Dr. Thomas Buttars  (Ph.D. University of Wisconsin-Madison) teaches financial accounting and reporting at USD.  He owned and managed his own small business in Wisconsin during graduate school and has taught at Washington State University and Old Dominion prior to coming to USD.  He will cover the accounting related aspects of the program.  He teaches content with Robert Hollingsworth on standard setting, auditing and enforcement aspects of accounting.

Dykstra (J.D., MBA) is an associate professor of Business Law at the University of South Dakota.  She currently teaches about business and its environment, real estate, commercial law and ethics, and other law related courses.   She has been nominated for the Belbas-Larson Award for Teaching Excellence.  DeVee has conducted well over 100 presentations, mostly about demographics, real estate and legal topics.  She has published papers in the Human Systems Management Journal, Real Estate Educators Association Journal, South Dakota Business Review, and the South Dakota Business Magazine and Data Supplement, as well as provided book contributions.  DeVee is a member of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business (ALSB), SD Bar Association, and the Real Estate Educator’s Association.   She is also the School of Business Employment Services Director and served as director of the SD State Data Center located in the Business Research Bureau for many years where she conducted research on various aspects of the SD population, housing and economy for use in business planning, research, and governmental planning.
/business/Executive_Education/images/Huckabee.jpg Dr. Gregory Huckabee received his A.B., M.B.A., and J.D. from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA.  He received an LL.M. from The Judge Advocate General’s School in Charlottesville, VA; an M.S. in Education from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL; an M.A. in Congressional Studies from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.; and an LL.M. from The George Washington University National Law Center in Washington, D.C.  Selected in 2000 by the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars and the U.S. Department of State to be a J. William Fulbright Scholar, Professor Huckabee served as a Senior Lecturer at the Jagiellonian University Center for American Studies in Krakow, Poland, while on active duty in the U.S. Army.  He also served as an Associate Professor, in the Dept. of Law, at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY.  After serving 27 years as a Judge Advocate in the Regular Army, he became an Associate Professor of Business Law joining the faculty at the University of South Dakota School of Business in August 2003.  The student body association recently selected him Professor of the Year for 2004, a rare honor after only his first year of teaching.  The Dean appointed him Director of International Programs in January 2004.
