Accounting Program Overview

The accounting faculty bring to our classrooms a wealth of teaching expertise and knowledge in the field based on professional experience. Our faculty members are business experts, innovative teachers and dedicated mentors who instruct students on business methods and then apply their teaching through school-sponsored, student-run organizations.  Average class sizes range from 32-35 students.

Student Organizations

Students gain hands-on experience, meet new friends, and share some fun outside the classroom through participation in student organizations. We encourage students to actively participate in student organizations as an excellent way to develop leadership skills and engage in experiential learning.

Beacom School of Business has the capacity to award more than $400,000 in awards and scholarships each year. These funds are made available through the generous support of alumni and friends.

Arthur A. Volk Symposium

The Arthur A. Volk Symposium is sponsored annually by Beacom School of Business to bring together students, academicians, and business leaders for discussion of current topics of interest. The Symposium is named in honor of Art Volk, former Professor of Accounting and Director of the Business Placement Office, who taught at Beacom School of Business from 1948-1984.
