Economics & Financial Responsibility Workshops
The SD Board of Education mandate requiring a high school course in economics or personal finance as a graduation requirement has increased the need for teachers with expertise in these areas. As a result, the South Dakota Council on Economic Education, through its affiliated Centers for Economic Education at The University of South Dakota and Black Hills State University, offer workshops designed to assist teachers with the training and materials necessary to effectively teach economics or personal finance at the high school level. These workshops would also be of interest to social studies, history and business teachers. All curriculum materials conform to national content standards in economics and personal finance.
These high quality, low-cost teacher workshops provides the following benefits:
- High quality and up-to-date curriculum materials
- Conducted by nationally known experts in Economics and Personal Finance
