Professional Profile:

Since graduating, I've passed  all four sections of the CPA exam on my first try, success I credit, in part, to the rigorous classes at Beacom.

How Did Beacom Prepare Me For Success?

Beacom creates an environment of high expectations that professors teach through their rigorous curriculum. The courses are very comprehensive and thorough, which provided me with a large variety of useful situations I can directly apply to accounting situations at work.

Schoenfish & Co, Inc. and Quam & Berglin, PC.

Other Thoughts?

The faculty are genuinely interested in your growth as a student and an individual. Even though USD is a bigger school, the professors knew me by name and I felt comfortable talking to them about class-related and completely unrelated situations. Additionally, because Beacom is part of a larger University, it does have the resources to bring in rather well-known people and organizations to speak not only to the entire campus, but also directly to student organizations and classes.

Advice to Prospective Students Considering Beacom?

Beacom is a school with big time connections and a small town feel that has the ability to bring all types of people together under a common connection. I highly recommend it for any prospective student interested in business because the school provides a niche for every type of student with any aspiration.
