Group Fitness
Get fit with water or step aerobics, yoga, Pilates, cycling, body sculpting and more. During the school year, you can purchase a semester fitness pass and attend any class at any time! See our schedule to find a class that works for you.

Personal Training
Personal training is an opportunity to work one-on-one with a qualified fitness specialist. You will receive a program that has been personalized to meet your fitness level and goals. If you have trouble adhering to your fitness plan or just need some motivation, personal training is just the right fit; consider it an investment in your well-being and health. Meet with your trainer once a month, once a week, or more. Trainers provide programs in weight loss, weight gain, improved strength, sport specific, overall fitness, and more. USD personal trainers have the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively design and implement a program that will work for you.

What will I do in my personal training sessions?
- Weight and/or resistance training

How do I get started?
- Complete new client information form and personal training contract.
- Submit paperwork and payment to Campus Recreation in the DakotaDome (room 224).
- After evaluation of your paperwork, a personal trainer will contact you within 10 days to schedule your fitness assessment.
Programs
Fitness Assessment
Following a review of your medical and fitness history, a fitness assessment is completed which covers the following health related components:
- Cardiovascular fitness
- Muscle Strength
- Muscle Endurance
- Joint Flexibility
- Body Composition
After completing the fitness assessment, your personal trainer will design a personalized program to meet your individual goals and fitness needs.
Weight Room Orientation
This is a one-time orientation with a personal trainer to show you how to individually operate and run cardio and weight machines.
Jump Start Program Design #1
This is an eight-week program designed to meet your specific fitness needs and goals. It includes a Fitness Assessment, one personal training session and a follow-up consultation. It is great for those who need help getting started, who have reached a plateau, or those who just need some new ideas and programming to get started.

Packages
Packages are available for clients who need and are looking for a long term commitment. Packages include a Fitness Assessment. You can schedule four, eight or 12 personal training sessions.

Boot Camp
Boot Camp Programs are designed to challenge and push your fitness level to its limits with its efficient boot camp-style exercises that work your entire body. You can expect to see body changes, have an increased level of endurance, improve muscle tone and strength, improve health, and burn a lot of calories from doing the rigorous exercises.
All Boot Camp Programs will offer you many different kinds of regimented exercises that target both overall muscular strength and endurance, as well as exercises that will improve cardiovascular function. You will be motivated, inspired, and coached through all workouts. It is a great way to improve your overall fitness level!
Early Rise Boot Camp
Jump-start your day with this High Energy Boot Camp Program. You can expect an intense cardiovascular workout, followed by a regimented set of challenging core and body strengthening exercises. Workouts will include warm-up, stretching, running/walking, interval training, core conditioning, abdominal work, full body muscle strengthening, plyometrics, and more. Charge up your cardio, and be prepared to push yourself to the next level of physical fitness.
Coyote Boot Camp
Our Coyote Boot Camp Fitness Program is based on a combination of strength, core training, and cardiovascular exercises. The Camp Instructor will keep things lively by integrating push-ups, pull-ups, squats and other strength builders with running, sprinting drills and plyometrics, all designed to enhance your fitness level, build cardiovascular endurance, and improve overall strength and body tone. This Boot Camp is packed with intensity and will challenge you to do your best each and every day. It is a great way to improve your overall health, and jumpstart your fitness program! Get ready to work physically and push yourself to the next level.
