The Student Art Association (SAA) is a student run group that strives to foster local artistic involvement and awareness of arts' significance. Weekly meetings allow for discussion of local and contemporary art issues and coordination of art events. The goals and events of SAA offer members supplemental learning experiences to the traditional liberal arts education. Student members have the opportunity to focus on issues they find directly important and build beneficial relationships based in diverse creative interests. All USD students are welcome to join! Some SAA projects include: -Hosting SAA Exhibitions -Hosting Technical Art Skills Workshops -Maintaining SAA social media communications -Building relationships with Vermillion Area Arts Council, Vermillion Community, USD Community -Field Trips: Artist Studio visits and Art Exhibitions -Hosting national artists and/or speakers
