The International Emergency Management Student Association is the student component of the International Emergency Management Association. IEMSA was originally formed in response to a strong need for an international association for students seeking degrees in the field of emergency management. IEMSA has great growth potential and will be an asset to a student's development in the field of emergency management. IEMSA facilitates an image of professionalism while it fosters the growth of interest in the field of emergency management.

Membership is open to all students who have declared a major, minor or equivalent in an emergency management related field leading to an undergraduate or graduate degree.
