The FMA group helps students network with finance professionals through speakers and field trips. Field trips to businesses in Omaha as well as financial centers in Chicago and New York City allow students to enjoy hands-on experience in the area of finance. In addition, students get to ask professionals what they look for in new employees and where to look for good opportunities in a financial institution. Also, by bringing speakers to campus, FMA introduces various financial careers to students, along with an understanding of financial operations in corporate America. The USD FMA group was honored to receive the coveted Superior Chapter designation for the twelfth year in a row for their work during the 2011-12 academic year! Less than 5% of student FMA chapters receive this prestigious designation each year. We are pleased to announce that the FMA chapter will be involved with sponsoring a trip for 20 USD Business students to meet Warren Buffett on Friday, February 22, 2013!!
