Community Within the Halls

Community is what makes on-campus living an essential part of the college experience. Utilize these resources to get connected to your community at USD.

Residence Hall Association

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is a student-run organization which represents and protects the views, concerns, and rights of the residential community, and strives to improve the quality of life on campus. RHA provides opportunities and resources for student programming and leadership training while fostering communication between on-campus residents and the University of South Dakota.

To get involved, email rhga@coyotes.usd.edu or attend one of their weekly open meetings, which are listed on the University Calendar.

National Residence Hall Honorary

The University of South Dakota "Coyote Chapter" of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is a student-run organization composed of on-campus residence hall leaders. Membership to the chapter is limited to the top one percent of students currently living on-campus.

If you are interested in learning more about the Coyote Chapter of NRHH, please send an email to nrhh@coyotes.usd.edu.

Hall/Complex Council

Each residence hall/complex has an active, student-led council of leaders striving to build community and provide a voice to students living in the specific residence hall or complex. Hall/Complex Council members traditionally plan hall/complex activities, provide a voice of advocacy to the Residence Hall Association, and collaborate with hall staff for the growth and benefit of students in their particular hall/complex.

To get involved with your residence hall/complex council, please send an email to housing@usd.edu.
