First Aid, CPR & AED Training
Prepare for Emergencies with American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) courses. These programs are designed to give you necessary skills and confidence to respond in an emergency situation with skills that can help save a life. Lifeguard Training
Prepare for Aquatic Emergencies with American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (LGT). View the Lifeguard Training Brochure for course information, scheduled dates, registration information, etc. The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguard course is to teach candidates the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drowning and injuries.
Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Course
Obtain the skills and knowledge needed to become a Red Cross Swim Instructor. This course includes WSI material and Fundamentals of Instructor Training.

Re-Certification Classes
Lifeguard Training and CPR/AED for PR re-certification classes are offered. You must have a current LGT and CPR/AED for PR certification card to take the Challenge Course. It is a renewal class.
Lifeguard Training Challenge
- For more information view the Lifeguard Training Re-Certification Brochure.
- This re-certification course consists of a lifeguard in pool review and skill session, written test (must score 80%) to pass and 500-yard continuous swim test in accordance to American Red Cross Lifeguard Standards.
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer is included in the Challenge course and will consist of a review and skill session on the mannequin and AED, and written test in which you must score 80% or higher.
- LGT certification is valid for three years; CPR/AED for PR is valid for one year.
CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer Challenge
- This re-certification class consists of a mannequin review session of skills, practice skill session and a written test in which you must score 80% or better to pass.
- CPR/AED Certification is valid for one year.
