publications - developmental disabilities handbook

The Developmental Disabilities Handbook is produced by the Center for Disabilities, Department of Pediatrics, Sanford School of Medicine of The University of South Dakota. The Developmental Disabilities Handbook is made possible in part by a grant from the South Dakota Council on Developmental Disabilities.

The information contained in the Developmental Disabilities Handbook reflects the most up-to-date information available (see the bibliography in the back of the handbook for a complete listing of information used in compiling the handbook). However, this handbook in no way includes all the information concerning the conditions covered. The Developmental Disabilities Handbook is designed only as an informational resource. When describing a condition we have tried to include the characteristics that occur most often. The descriptions in the Developmental Disabilities Handbook should not be seen as complete. If you would like more information concerning any of the entries in the Developmental Disabilities Handbook, please contact any of the agencies listed on the right side of each page.
