A Statement in Watercolor and Mixed-Media by Judy Lehner

Dreaming of Tomorrow photo

Dreaming of Tomorrow

 EXHIBITION DESCRIPTION:

An exhibition of 31 watercolor and mixed-media paintings exploring a range of today's social issues including homelessness, addiction, and lost cultural identity.  Lehner began this series of art works in 1992 exploring poverty and desolation, and in the process also found strength, pride, and dignity among the people she painted.  Lehner's style is marked by a delicacy of touch, strong design, keen observation skills, and above all, a special sensitivity to the human condition.  The exhibition raises the question "Does our nation's Pledge of Allegiance mean liberty and justice for all?"

The exhibition is fully prepared for installation and is accompanied by title
panel, biographical panel with an artist's statement, and labels.  The show is supported by a publicity kit and a catalogue.

TOURING DATES:  February 1, 2003 to June 30, 2005 for bookings of up to six weeks and double bookings may be negotiated for an additional fee.
