Welcome to Dakota's Finest--the Marching Coyotes Homepage

The USD Marching Coyote Band is a fantastic musical and social organization that provides great visibility for the University of South Dakota. The band includes Brass, Woodwinds, Drum Line, Color Guard, and staff assistant positions.

The Marching Coyotes are proud to support the USD Coyote football team and perform in the Dakota Dome during the half-time activities at all home games. The band also presents an annual exhibition performance for the USD Quad State Field Marching Competition in October and takes 1-2 trips to festivals, celebrations, and away football games.

Becoming a member of the USD Marching Coyotes offers students an opportunity to continue enjoying music in college and is a great way to get involved in campus life during the first days of college.  Students often form friendships within the band that last a lifetime!
