Discovery Mime Theatre

Discovery Mime Theatre's imaginative combination of mime, mask, music, and drama is a theatrical delight. With a revolving repertory of over sixty original pantomime pieces, ranging from fast paced slapstick humor to the lyric emotion of dance, this theatre experience goes to the heart. 

Constantly creating and exploring the art of physical theatre, Mary Inman and Brian Begley are at the core of this touring company's success; since 1981, they've been performing original mime vignettes for audiences of all ages. Ariel Begley follows closely in her parent's footsteps, adding her creative energy and diverse talents to performances during the Christmas and Summer seasons. Their popular shows have been enjoyed throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica. 

Brian and Mary have studied under Marcel Marceau, received numerous artist grants, and have been on arts council touring and education programs throughout the midwestern states. They have been Artists-In-Residence at the University of South Dakota since 1986, and their television special, My Parents the Mimes, won the 1993 National PBS Gold Award for Youth and Children's Programs.
