OUR OBJECTIVES:                                     

CHILDREN
  • To provide an education program to meet the needs of each individual child with concern for his/her specific interests and talents.
  • To create an environment that promotes discovery, divergent thinking, continual growth in abilities, and positive self-image.
  • To provide opportunities for children to grow and develop through exploration and experimentation with various learning materials and activities.
  • To provide a nurturing environment in which social competencies can be learned.
  • To celebrate diversity.
  • To foster cultural awareness.
PARENTS

  • To promote open communication between families and caregivers.
  • To cooperate with, and to assist parents in understanding the development of young children.
  • To welcome parent involvement and interaction with children throughout the day.
  • To provide written and verbal communication with parents regarding the social and academic progress of each individual child. Weekly newsletters, posted, and personal notes are designed to keep parents advised.
STUDENTS
  • To support the personal and professional growth of USD students.
  • To promote USD student involvement in the Center.
  • To help USD students gain knowledge of children, of themselves in relation to children, and to move to a higher level of competency in working with young children.
TEACHING STAFF
  • To provide teachers who are professionally qualified and/or have vast experience working with young children.
  • To hire teachers who are experts at creating an optimum teaching environment.
  • To establish trusting relationships among colleagues so that they can discuss, listen, encourage, offer advice, respect, and support each other in their endeavor to develop an effective personal teaching style.
