Al Neuharth Media Center:

A World-class Media Facility for Students at the U.

Neuharth Center

The Al Neuharth Media Center, named for 1950 University of South Dakota journalism graduate Al Neuharth and dedicated in September 2003, is the result of a $5 million renovation of the former "New Armory," funded by the Freedom Forum and the USD Foundation.

The state-of-the-art media center houses all of the media and news organizations on campus, including the Freedom Forum’s South Dakota operations, South Dakota Public Broadcasting, the U’s Department of Contemporary Media and Journalism, the national headquarters of the Native American Journalists Association, campus newspaper The Volante, campus radio station KAOR and television station KYOT.

Watch for more pictures coming soon of the Department of Contemporary Media and Journalism radio and television studios, computer labs, and student advertising agency facilities.

USD is governed by the Board of Regents of South Dakota and is an Equal Opportunity institution. emergency info | feedback | contact us
