Bare-Bones Instructions:
1) Press SPACE BAR to begin each trial (120 trials in this experiment)
2) Read the EVALUATION QUESTION that appears next.
3) Gaze at the FIXATION POINT which follows.
4) A single STIMULUS WORD will replace the fixation point.
5) Evaluate the stimulus word using the question that preceded it (see Step 2 above)
Press the 'x' key if the answer to the question is NO
or Press the '.' key if the answer is YES. Response ACCURACY is more important than
SPEED.
6) When all the trials are complete, you will be administered a RECOGNITION MEMORY TEST.
Check-off 60 words that you recognize from the previous 120 stimulus trials. Guess
if you can't remember them all.
7) When the memory test is finished, use the Commands | Display Results menu to
view a data summary.
