What is Health Care Early Scholars?
The Health Sciences program for early scholars will enhance academic and experiential options for a guided transition into a health career. This program provides the opportunity for dual credit health science coursework.
What is Dual Credit?
A dual credit course is a college course taken by a high school student for which the student earns both college and high school credit at the same time. By participating in the dual credit program, it enables students to make substantial progress toward their college degree before finishing high school.
HSC 110: The Multidisciplinary Health TeamCourse Title: HSC 110: The Multidisciplinary Health Team
Course Dates: January 19th-May 8th, 2015 (Spring 2015 Semester)
This course provides an introduction to a wide variety of specialty areas in the health sciences professions. Service learning and other forms of experiential learning present the opportunity to function in a beginning role as a member of an interdisciplinary health team.
- Experience individual growth and develop a deeper understanding of others through self-reflection and application of Enneagram in the 3 part paper.
- Recognize the importance of community service through service learning experience and subsequent reflective paper.
- Describe the specialized knowledge and skills necessary for the health professions through quizzes.
