Register for Summer, Off-Campus & Distance Courses:
How you register depends on your enrollment status and the type of class you want to take:
Current students register using WebAdvisor. (You can search for courses at anytime; if you are registering for a course you will need a valid USD login ID and password.) Current students are those who have already been admitted to USD and have enrolled in classes before.
New Distance Students:
New distance students and summer school students, degree-pursuant and non-degree pursuant, register using this Online Form. Degree-pursuant students must be admitted to USD before registering. Prospective undergraduates apply through the Admissions Office. Prospective graduate students apply through the Graduate School: Apply Using the Graduate School Application.
Students Registering for DDN Courses:
Current and new students registering for Digital Dakota Network courses delivered to sites outside of Rapid City, Sioux City, or Sioux Falls, register using this Online Form.
Early Scholars/High School Students:
Currently enrolled high school juniors and seniors registering for university credit courses using online or correspondence study, complete the Early Scholars registration form to sign up for Online or Correspondence courses.

Please Note: All Minnesota residents enrolling in online courses for an A.A. degree must complete 5 General Education credit hours in English/Communications; and 8 General Education credit hours in the following: Math/Natural Science; Humanities; and Social Sciences. Minnesota residents enrolling in online courses for an A.S., B.S. or B.G.S. degree must complete 4 General Education credit hours in each of the following: English/Communications; Math/Natural Science; Humanities; and Social Sciences.
