Teach for America Summer Institute
The Teach for America (TFA) Summer Institute offers professional development opportunities for current TFA members and TFA alumni. These courses can be applied to the University of South Dakota's customized Master's Degree in Educational Administration in partnership with TFA.

Course Description:This course examines the roles and responsibilities school administrators play in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum. The course examines the important role of curriculum in school improvement. This course is customized for Teach for America current Summer Institute participants. The content will be incorporated into the five-week intensive training and development exercises that TFA attendees receive in preparation for placement in member districts. |
School Climate and CultureCourse: EDAD 792: School Climate and Culture Registration Deadline: June 7, 2013 |
Course Description:This course is designed to explore behavior management principles and strategies, relevant policies, diverse and historical points of view, and human development issues. Applications for professional practice included are ethical considerations, individual learner characteristics, assessment, instructional planning and implementation, and collaboration. This course is customized for Teach for America current Summer Institute participants. The content will be incorporated into the five-week intensive training and development exercises that TFA attendees receive in preparation for placement in member districts. |
