First Aid Training
Training the population to render first aid is one of the main activities of the Bulgarian Red Cross.
The Bulgarian Red Cross:
- elaborates training programmes, in conformity with the European doctrine of first aid problems;
- organizes and carries out training courses for trainers and speciaiized teams to further train the population;
- takes part in the training of the population under various forms and methods;
- trains road police officers in the country;
- sets up pemmanent first aid posts at the roadside establishments, and mobile first aid posts in the cars providing assistance on the road;
- trains learner drivers to render first aid;
- takes part in first aid training of schoolchildren;
- sets up and trains first aid posts at school.
The Bulgarian Red Cross coordinates and unifies the training programme of its own structures with those involved in first aid training.
