Health Education
Health education is a traditional activity of the Bulgarian Red Cross. The choice of health subjects depends on whether the subject is topical in a certain region, and whether people would be interested in it. It is also associated with the national health programmes againstthe socially significant diseases, such as cardio-vascular, oncological diseases, diabetes, traumatism, AIDS, tuberculosis, drug addictions, etc. as well as with different ecological activities.
The main activities are targeted at some definite groups of the population, and also at young people. They are carried out in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Health and its subdivisions, other institutions and government agencies, as well as with non-governmental organizations concerned.
