The armed conflicts in the world force thousands of people to leave their home lands, so as to save themselves from the terrors of war.
Through the efforts of staff and volunteers, the Bulgarian Red Cross, with the financial support of the UNHCR, and in cooperation with the National Bureau for Territorial Asylum and Refugees, provides social counselling, humanitarian and material assistance to refugees and asylum seekers, helping them to be integrated into society.
Tracing
The Bulgarian Red Cross helps the people who, having lost contact with members of their families due to armed conflicts, war or disaster, are searching for their relatives. In places of armed conflicts, the BRC assists people through the exchange of Red Cross messages. The National Society works in cooperation with the Central Tracing Agency of the ICRC, and with other National Societies.
