PSYC 459/657:

This course examines the theory, research, and practice of psychology with regard to posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

 

Specifically, topics covered will include the history, psychopathology and comorbidity of PTSD; prevalence and risk factors for civilian- and combat-related PTSD; neurobiology of PTSD; assessment of PTSD in adults and children; prevention, pharmacological, and cognitive-behavioral treatment of PTSD.
