- Application
- $35 Application Fee

- Three Letters of Recommendation
- Satisfactory scores on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test (MAT)
Admission into EDAD PK-12 degree programs that lead to professional licensure (including superintendency, principalship, special education director, and curriculum director degree programs) also requires appropriate professional teaching experience. Applicants for the master's degree programs must have completed (or be completing) at least one year of teaching under appropriate licensure and applicants for the educational specialist and doctoral degree programs must have completed (or be completing) at least three years of teaching under appropriate licensure. Applicants not meeting these requirements may be considered for provisional admission on an individual case basis.
There are two levels of admission into EDAD degree programs - full and provisional. Students admitted provisionally must maintain a 3.0 or better GPA during their initial 9-12 credits in order to transition to full admission status. Requirements for admission are as follows:

Special Student Status
In order to begin taking courses prior to admission into a degree program, students may complete a Special Student application with the Graduate School. Special students are not afforded graduate student status and do not belong to an academic program. Only six credits taken as a special student may be applied to a subsequent graduate degree program. Please consult the Graduate School applications web page for further information on Special Student status and a link to the form.
