Bachelor's and master's in Secondary English Education from Kansas State University. Taught middle school English in Clay Center, KS and graduate English courses at Cloud County Community College. Earned PhD in Curriculum and Instruction/English Education Specialist from University of Kansas.

Adolescent Literature; Middle/Secondary ELA education.
