Graduate Degree Programs
The USD School of Education provides education professionals with a variety of advanced degree options.
The Division of Educational Administration has two emphasis areas. One is for those preparing for school administrative positions including school district superintendents, assistant superintendents, elementary principals, secondary principals, personnel administrators, curriculum directors, directors of special education, and community education directors. The other option is adult education and lifelong learning in higher education and other adult training programs.
Counseling and Psychology in Education - This division offers Masters, Specialist and Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs in Counseling, School Psychology and Educational Psychology. The division is also home to three clinical programs preparing scientists and practitioners.
Curriculum & Instruction - This division offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral-level degree programs in three program areas: elementary education, secondary education, and special education in addition to a Master of Science Degree in Technology for Education and Training.
The Division of Kinesiology and Sport Science prepares graduate students for positions in programs promoting health and healthy lifestyles, physical education and physical activity, recreational programming and administration, athletic administration, and coaching.
