Congratulations to Shana Davis!

One of our principalship students, Shana Davis, in the EDAD division was awarded the Milkin Family Award for teaching with a $25,000 stipend on the 19th of November, 2013.  She was given the award by Governor Daugaard and South Dakota Department of Education Secretary Melody Schopp.  She was one of only a handful of teachers in the country (only one in SD) to win this award this year.

Congratulations to Dr. Shannon Norman, Kinesiology and Sport Science Division in the School of Education!

Dr. Norman was elected to recieve the 2013 South Dakota American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (SDAHPERD) College Physical Education Teacher of the Year Award.  Dr. Norman will be honored at the annual SDAHPERD Awards Banquet on the evening of November 7th during the SDAHPERD Convention in Brookings, SD.

Congratuations to Dr. Mark Baron the 2013 SD recipient of the Excellence in Education Award given by AdvancED for his leadership work with PK-12 schools as well as higher education!
